Thursday, the 4th, is Cheongmyeong (淸明), a solar term meaning 'the sky gradually clears,' but the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with the central region having many clouds.
From morning to night, rain will fall in the southern inland areas of Chungnam, inland Jeolla, and western inland Gyeongnam. Expected precipitation amounts are less than 5mm in Daejeon, Sejong, southern inland Chungnam, and western inland Gyeongnam, and 5 to 20mm in Gwangju and inland Jeolla. There will also be places with less than 0.1mm of raindrops in southern Chungbuk and Jeju Island.
The morning low temperature is forecast to be between 5 and 13 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 12 and 21 degrees Celsius. Temperatures will be similar to or slightly higher than the average for this time of year (morning lows 0 to 8 degrees, daytime highs 14 to 18 degrees) for the time being.
Fine dust levels will be 'good' to 'moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion. From late night on the 3rd to the morning of the 4th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters will occur in Jeolla and western inland Gyeongnam, and some areas will experience drizzle.
Inland Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, and other inland Gyeongsang regions will have fog with visibility less than 1 km, and until the morning of the 4th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters will occur in the mountainous areas of Gangwon due to low clouds, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
Winds will blow very strongly at speeds of 35 to 60 km/h (10 to 16 m/s) until the 5th in the southern offshore waters of the West Sea and the western offshore waters of the southern sea, all northern offshore waters of the southern East Sea (excluding the outer offshore waters), the eastern offshore waters of the southern sea until night, the eastern offshore waters of the southern sea, the offshore waters of the southern East Sea, and the waters around Jeju Island.
Sea waves will be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the offshore waters of the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the offshore waters of the West Sea, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the offshore waters of the South Sea. Wave heights in the inner offshore waters (offshore waters within about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
