A video capturing a child who approached an adult loading luggage in the rain and kindly held an umbrella over them has become a hot topic online.

A, who runs a roll cake specialty shop in Gwangju Metropolitan City, shared a video on social media on the 29th of last month, saying, "What warms the world isn’t something grand, but these small yet certain touches of kindness," and released the footage.

The video shows a man moving luggage to a vehicle parked in front of the store while getting soaked in the rain. A explained that he was transferring desserts he had packed for a group order delivery to the car at the time.

At that moment, a child passing by with a sky-blue umbrella watched A closely. The child stopped walking and approached A, who was loading the luggage into the car, and held the umbrella over him. To shield an adult taller than themselves, the child stretched out their arm fully and stood on tiptoe. The child continued holding the umbrella until A finished loading the luggage and closed the car door, then, as if nothing had happened, went on their way after A turned around.

A said, "I thought the child was just curious and peeking, but they held the umbrella over me because I was getting wet," adding, "The store was busy, so I was too distracted to properly thank the child for their cool gesture, which still bothers me." He continued, "I hope we can meet again," and shared, "Thanks to this warm moment, we also had a pleasant day."

The video received over 33,000 likes and more than 500 comments. Later, on the 2nd, A posted a comment saying, "I met the child in the video again," and added, "I expressed my thanks and shared a small token of appreciation. Thanks to everyone’s interest, we were able to meet again. I’m grateful."

Also, B, who introduced herself as the "mother of the child in the video," left a thank-you comment. She said, "It might have been a small episode passing by in our busy daily lives, but I’m thankful for the great interest and praise for my child’s small act," and added, "My child went alone to greet the owner, who welcomed them warmly and gave an unexpected gift, which made my child very happy." She further expressed, "I also want to thank everyone who has supported my child through the video, and sincerely wish you all happiness."
