About 40 people, including Lee Seong-hae, Chairman of the Rail Network Authority, and members of the volunteer group, participated in the volunteer activities. On that day, Chairman Lee and others planted a commemorative tree, a Bansong (盤松), in Geumgangmochi Village and assisted the villagers with farm preparations such as blueberry netting and weeding.

Since its establishment in 2004, the Rail Network Authority has held annual tree-planting events with the participation of more than 1,000 employees to date. The total number of trees planted so far exceeds 20,000.

In particular, Geumgangmochi Village has continued rural-urban cooperation activities every year since the sisterhood partnership was established in 2018, including helping with farm work, charity bazaars for sharing love, and rural experience programs for employees' families.

Lee Seong-hae, Chairman of the Rail Network Authority, said, “The Rail Network Authority will continue to coexist with the local community through steady help with farm work and strive to fulfill its social responsibilities as a public institution.”
