The eligible individuals are those with severe disabilities who have difficulty walking and elderly people aged 65 or older with mobility difficulties. They can use the service if they are registered members of the Daejeon Transportation Mobility Support Center or register as new members.
Those wishing to use the free service should inform the center by phone on the early voting days or election day that they are visiting a polling station, and after using the service, receive a voting confirmation slip at the polling station and submit it to the driver.
This project is a social contribution initiative jointly conducted by the Daejeon Transportation Mobility Support Center and the Daejeon City Election Commission, with costs supported by the Election Commission.
Yeon Gyu-yang, president of Daejeon Transportation Corporation, said, “This social contribution was prepared to guarantee the voting rights of the transportation disadvantaged and to promote voting culture ahead of the 22nd National Assembly election,” adding, “We will strive to provide transportation convenience for voting so that the precious votes of people with disabilities and the elderly can be protected.”
