"Take a voting certification shot and make it a good shot!"
The Korea Golf Course Management Association announced on the 3rd that it will conduct a campaign to encourage voting in the 22nd National Assembly election. On election day, April 10, visitors to golf courses operated by member companies of the association can present a voting certification photo showing the polling station and their own face at the front desk. Depending on the operating conditions of the golf course, they will offer a 10,000 KRW discount on the green fee or provide coffee, beverages, golf balls, or cart fee discounts equivalent to 10,000 KRW. Some golf courses may not participate in the campaign due to internal circumstances, so prior confirmation before visiting is necessary.
The campaign was planned to fulfill the social responsibility of golf courses in the face of the general election that will determine the future of the Republic of Korea. At the regular general meeting held in Jeju-do on the 20th of last month, the campaign to encourage voting in the National Assembly election was formally proposed and passed as an agenda item. Chairman Park Chang-yeol said, "Through the general election voting encouragement campaign, we hope to dispel negative perceptions of golf courses and establish golf as a sport that can be enjoyed together with the public."
