Busan Office of Education Conducts First Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Exams of the Year

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) will conduct the '2024 1st Elementary, Middle, and High School Graduation Equivalency Examination' at 8 testing centers, including Choeup Middle School, starting at 9 a.m. on the 6th.

A total of 2,113 candidates are taking the exam this time, including 201 for elementary school equivalency, 398 for middle school equivalency, and 1,514 for high school equivalency, which is an increase of 145 candidates compared to the first exam last year.

The elementary school exam center is set up at Choeup Middle School, the middle school exam center at Myeongjin Middle School, and the high school exam centers at Yeoncheon Middle School, Yongho Middle School, Singok Middle School, and Dadae Middle School. Exam centers have also been arranged at Busan Oryun School and Busan Prison for juvenile detention center inmates and prisoners.

Candidates must check the candidate guidelines available on the Office of Education's website. They must bring their admission ticket and ID and enter the designated exam room by 8:30 a.m. on the exam day.

Candidates are allowed to go out during breaks and lunch time, and upon re-entry, they must present their admission ticket to the entrance management staff at the main entrance. If the admission ticket is lost, candidates can bring their ID and one photo identical to the one submitted during application to receive a reissued admission ticket at the exam center on the exam day.

Busan Office of Education provides exam accommodations such as reading assistance, writing assistance, placement of assistants, and separate rooms for candidates who have applied for 'disability accommodations.'

The list of successful candidates will be announced on May 9th at 10 a.m. on the Office of Education's website, and certificates of passing will be distributed at the Office of Education's General Civil Service Office. For more details, please refer to the Office of Education's website.
