Munhakdongne Hosts Online Book Talk Featuring 7 Participants of the Young Writers' Award

From the 16th, for 9 days on the reading platform 'Dokpa'

Munhakdongne announced on the 2nd that an online book talk featuring seven authors who won the 15th Young Writers' Award in 2024 will be held for nine days starting from the 16th on the reading platform 'Wandok Challenge Dokpa'.


This Young Writers' Award online book talk will be held a total of seven times, once for each of the seven winning works, to introduce all the winning works to readers.


The award-winning authors will be invited to the book talk in the order of Kim Mella, Gong Hyeonjin, Kim Gitae, Kim Namsuk, Kim Jiyeon, Seong Haena, and Jeon Jiyoung to share stories about their works with readers. Among the seven authors who won the 15th Young Writers' Award, Gong Hyeonjin, Kim Gitae, Kim Namsuk, Seong Haena, and Jeon Jiyoung received the Young Writers' Award for the first time this year.

Munhakdongne stated that each session will be decorated with a designated color for the book talk stage, and the panelists will also attend wearing dress codes matching the respective colors. They also plan to assign a mission to readers participating in the Dokpa Challenge to attend the online meetings according to the dress code.


Dokpa is a reading platform officially launched in September 2021 that operates a completion program where readers read one book together. The basic format is to complete reading one book and then hold one online reading meeting. It is differentiated from existing online and offline reading meetings in that authors, editors, marketers, designers, and others involved in writing and creating the book participate together.


The '2024 15th Young Writers' Award Anthology' began pre-sale on the 31st of last month.
