Hanwha Aerospace stated on the 2nd that the spin-off is not finalized and is still under review.
Through a disclosure on the 2nd, Hanwha Aerospace said, "We are reviewing a spin-off considering the characteristics of the businesses we operate to enhance shareholder value and management efficiency, but nothing has been finalized yet."
Industry insiders speculate that Hanwha Aerospace is considering a spin-off in which its current subsidiaries, Hanwha Vision and Hanwha Precision Machinery, will be separated, while Hanwha Aerospace, focusing on its core defense and aerospace sectors, will remain as the surviving entity.
As the news of the spin-off was perceived as positive, Hanwha Aerospace's stock price surged sharply by 15.31% before closing on the day.
A Hanwha Aerospace official stated, "We will re-disclose the details once they are finalized or within one month."
