Energy SMEs to Receive 'Safety Fence'... Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Signs MOU for Support Project

Gongdan Busan Regional Headquarters Collaborates with Labor Office, Korea South-East Power, and Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Administration

The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Director Gong Heung-du) has launched the ‘Safety Fence’ project to support accident prevention in small and medium-sized enterprises in the power and energy industry sectors.


The Busan Regional Headquarters announced on the 1st that it signed an MOU with the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office (Director Kim Jun-hwi), Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. headquarters (President Lee Seung-woo), and the Busan Regional Small and Medium Business Administration (Director Kim Il-ho) to enhance accident prevention capabilities in small workplaces.


Through this agreement, they plan to foster accident prevention capabilities for energy SMEs in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions and promote the establishment of a self-regulatory prevention system in line with the government’s roadmap for reducing major accidents.


Director Gong Heung-du emphasized, “By promoting and participating in the government’s industrial safety diagnosis, which is being actively pursued, we will prevent major accidents in energy SMEs located in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, strengthen the execution of risk assessments, and establish a safety and health management system to maximize safety and health effects, thereby laying the core foundation.”
