"Promote Spring Flower Hotspots with Short-Form Clips"…Naver Launches 'Clip Correspondent Challenge'

On April 1, Naver announced that it will hold the 'Clip Correspondent Challenge,' where users can become 'Clip Correspondents' and introduce their favorite places through short-form videos.

The Clip Correspondent Challenge will run for three months from April to June, with a different theme each month. The theme for April is 'Spring Flower Viewing.'

Anyone who is a creator on Naver Blog or Naver TV can participate in this challenge. To join, participants must upload three clips featuring three locations that fit the monthly theme using the Naver Blog app or Now app. Each clip must include a location sticker that links to the featured place in the video, be set to public, and include the hashtag #클파원챌린지. Participation is automatically completed when each of the three uploaded clips receives at least 10 likes (hearts).

To encourage more users to become clip creators and experience the clip service, Naver is offering step-by-step rewards. Participants who complete the mission will receive 10,000 won in Naver Pay points (until the budget is exhausted). Channels that rank in the top 500 for the Clip Correspondent Challenge will receive an additional 30,000 won in Naver Pay points, and those that rank in the top 100 will receive an additional 100,000 won. Challenge rankings are determined based on the total number of plays and location sticker clicks for all challenge clips from channels that have completed the monthly challenge mission.

Special rewards are also available for creators who participate in the challenge for three consecutive months. Naver will randomly select 1,000 channels that complete the mission for three months in a row to receive 30,000 won in Naver Pay points. Additionally, 100 channels that rank in the top 500 for three consecutive months will be randomly selected to receive 100,000 won, and all channels that rank in the top 100 for three consecutive months will receive 300,000 won in Naver Pay points.

To celebrate spring, Naver plans to showcase a variety of clip content featuring places where users can fully enjoy the season, available on the Clip tab of the Naver app. On the Clip Correspondent Challenge event page, users can explore unique content from participants, such as trending correspondents, most-viewed clips, and most-clicked location sticker clips.

Lee Jaehoo, Head of Naver App Service, said, "By holding a challenge that combines hot places favored by the MZ Generation with the short-form content they are familiar with, we expect many users to experience the clip service firsthand." He added, "Through this challenge, we aim to help users discover places that match their tastes, gain vivid information, and ultimately have a unique experience by actually visiting these locations."
