HD Hyundai Oilbank announced on the 1st that it has launched the 'HD Hyundai Oilbank LPG Cargo Welfare Shinhan Card,' which offers fuel subsidies and payment benefits at charging stations for LPG cargo transporters.

When cargo truck customers pay with the Cargo Welfare Card, they receive a basic discount of 22 KRW per liter at all HD Hyundai Oilbank LPG charging stations nationwide. At cargo-preferred LPG charging stations, the discount is 37 KRW per liter. Additionally, HD Hyundai Oilbank bonus points are accumulated at 4 points per liter, providing a total benefit of up to 41 KRW per liter. The HD Hyundai Oilbank LPG Cargo Welfare Card has no annual fee or minimum monthly usage requirement and can only be issued to cargo transport operators authorized under the Cargo Transport Business Act.

Due to the 'Special Act on Air Quality Improvement' aimed at transitioning to eco-friendly energy, new permits for diesel vehicles used in cargo transport businesses have been suspended since early this year. In February of this year, the number of registered gasoline and hybrid vehicles significantly increased compared to the end of 2023, while the number of registered diesel vehicles slightly decreased.

Domestic demand for diesel fuel for transportation has also been steadily declining since 2021. In particular, cumulative demand in February 2024 decreased by 13% compared to the cumulative demand in 2021, which significantly exceeds the overall demand decrease of 7% for gasoline, diesel, and LPG combined.

To respond to the increasing LPG demand, HD Hyundai Oilbank plans to expand the number of LPG-exclusive cargo-preferred affiliated stores from 64 to 100 within the year, aiming to enhance convenience for LPG cargo vehicle drivers.
