Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will complete the recruitment of trainees for four employment training courses that provide one-stop support from education and training to employment within this month. This is part of the Yongsan-gu job project utilizing the job fund.
The courses being recruited are ▲General Security Guard New Training 1st Term (deadline: 12th) ▲New Life, Senior Model Expert Training (deadline: 4th) ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Digital Marketer Training (deadline: 16th) ▲System Air Conditioner Cleaning Management (deadline: 29th), totaling four courses.
Yongsan-gu Directly Promoted 'General Security Guard New Training 1st Term'
The district has prepared the General Security Guard New Training to strengthen the employment capabilities of middle-aged and older adults. From the 23rd to the 25th, essential legal education required for employment as a security guard, including the Security Services Act, Crime Prevention Theory, Facility Security, Arrest and Self-defense Techniques, will be provided free of charge.
The education will be conducted by the Korea Security Association. Residents who complete the training will receive follow-up management from the District Office Job Plus Center and companies to help connect them to employment.
The capacity is 40 people, but priority will be given to middle-aged and older adults in their 50s and 60s preparing for reemployment after retirement. Residents aged 19 or older who wish to apply can visit the 5th floor Job Plus Center of Yongsan-gu Office with the required application documents for in-person registration.
Courses for the 2nd and 3rd terms will also be held in July and October this year, each training 40 people.
Public-Private Partnership Job Projects: 'Senior Model, Digital Marketer, Air Conditioner Cleaning Management,' etc.
In the Senior Model Expert Training course, up to 20 people will learn basic walking, image making, and instructor qualification education. The course runs from June 11 to July 23, every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Asia Lifelong Education Center Professional Training Hall (30 Cheongpa-ro 43da-gil, 1st floor). Residents aged 45 to 70 who wish to apply can fill out an online form. The education is free of charge.
Twenty youths aged 20 to 39 will be trained as AI-based digital marketers. Training includes online commerce using artificial intelligence, card news, and video production education. The course starts on the 22nd and runs until June 27, Monday to Friday in the afternoon at the Yongsan Women's Human Resources Development Center (139-21 Cheongpa-ro). Applications can be made through the Yongsan Women's Human Resources Development Center website. The tuition fee is 100,000 KRW, but 50,000 KRW will be refunded each upon completion and employment within one year.
There is also a cleaning technology qualification course tailored to the widespread use of system air conditioners. Through system air conditioner disassembly cleaning and on-site practice, this course offers opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship after completion. It will be held 16 times between May 7 and 30 at the Seoul Metropolitan Central Southern Technical Education Institute Central Campus (136 Hannam-daero). Those interested can refer to the Central Campus website. The education is free of charge.
Other public-private partnership job projects planned for this year include training professional instructors for silver programs in May and training technical personnel for air conditioner installation and maintenance in October.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We have prepared employment education and training courses tailored to recent job trends and resident demand. We will support trainees with high-quality education and meticulous management to help them succeed in employment.”
Meanwhile, the district is conducting projects utilizing the job fund, including ▲Youth Enterprise Loans ▲Public-Private Partnership Jobs ▲Direct Job Creation. Last year, the public-private partnership job project operated five courses, producing 79 graduates and 40 employed individuals.
