Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) is launching support for 'apartment complex management costs' to create a pleasant residential environment and revitalize the community in multi-family housing.

The district has secured 450 million KRW this year to support the costs necessary for the maintenance and management of aging common facilities in multi-family housing within the area.

The support targets a total of 141 multi-family housing complexes (119 apartments and 22 row houses). The district will prioritize funding for the installation and repair of safety facilities that can prevent damage to residents in the event of disasters such as fires and floods.

Additionally, costs for maintaining common facilities such as roads, streetlights, and sewage systems within the complexes, as well as auxiliary facilities like senior centers, and expenses for resident participation programs to revitalize the community will also be supported.

The support scale is up to 50% of the construction costs implemented by each multi-family housing complex, with a maximum of 25 million KRW.

Moreover, the district will actively work to improve the human rights and employment environment of workers managing multi-family housing.

With a budget of 40 million KRW, the district will partially support the improvement costs of rest (work) facilities for security guards and cleaners, as well as electricity costs for air conditioning and heating usage.

Going forward, the district plans to continuously strive to improve the poor working conditions of workers and reduce the burden of common electricity fees so that workers can work in a pleasant and stable environment.

Multi-family housing complexes wishing to apply for the 'apartment complex management cost support' and 'work environment improvement' projects should submit the relevant documents by April 11th, either by visiting or mailing them to the Housing Division of Gwanak-gu Office, through the resident representative or management entity.

For detailed information such as support amounts, please check the announcement on the Gwanak-gu website (News & Notices → Public Announcements) or contact the Housing Division of Gwanak-gu Office.

Meanwhile, last year, the district supported 38 complexes with over 300 million KRW, implementing 52 projects including repairs of common facilities, children's playgrounds, senior centers, replacement of closed-circuit televisions (CCTV), and installation of automatic rooftop door openers, contributing to the improvement of residential environments in multi-family housing.

A district official stated, "Through this apartment complex support project, we will resolve safety risks caused by aging facilities and actively support community revitalization projects," adding, "We will continue to prepare various support measures to provide residents with a pleasant and safe residential environment."
