Selected as a Candidate Site for Sintong Planning at 81 Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu

Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) Ssangmun-dong 81 area (district area 64,316㎡) has been selected as a candidate site for the Rapid Integrated Planning Housing Redevelopment project.

The district announced that on March 28, Seoul City held a selection committee meeting for candidate sites of the Rapid Integrated Planning Housing Redevelopment project and made this decision.

The Ssangmun-dong 81 area had applied for the 2022 Rapid Integrated Planning Housing Redevelopment project candidate site contest but was not selected due to a low resident approval rate.

However, the residents of this area re-challenged for candidate site selection, and the approval rate for the project increased by 16.3% compared to the previous application, reaching 52.8%, resulting in its selection as a candidate site this time.

Going forward, the Ssangmun-dong 81 area will undergo the establishment of a housing redevelopment project maintenance plan and designation of a maintenance district, and after consultation with Seoul City, the Rapid Integrated Planning will be finalized.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “In the remaining process, we will closely communicate and cooperate with experts in related fields such as urban planning and residents to ensure that the redevelopment of Ssangmun-dong 81 area is successfully promoted.”
