The price for a meal eaten in a tourist capsule traveling outside Earth has been set at $500,000 (660 million KRW).
According to U.S. science and technology media such as Interesting Engineering, the tourist space capsule "Neptune" produced by the American company Space Perspective is entering testing next month and is expected to begin official flights next year. Passengers on "Neptune" will be served gourmet meals prepared by a famous Danish chef at an altitude of 30 km in the stratosphere.

The price for a meal eaten in space is $500,000 per person. If passengers choose not to have the meal, they can board Neptune for $125,000 (165 million KRW) per person.
Although the menu has not been disclosed, Rasmus Munk stated that he will design the menu reflecting the innovative nature of space travel. During the trip, Rasmus Munk will act as a host and serve the menu to passengers. Neptune is equipped with WiFi, allowing the experience to be streamed to viewers on Earth.
Neptune is a spherical capsule made of carbon fiber, with a diameter of 4.9 meters. It is suspended in the air by a giant balloon about 200 meters in size filled with hydrogen. Neptune can carry a total of nine people, including the pilot, and the total flight time is six hours.
Neptune’s maximum target altitude is 30 km, which does not reach the 100 km altitude considered by the scientific community as the starting point of space. Therefore, strictly speaking, it does not go to space and zero gravity does not occur.
However, when ascending to an altitude of 30 km, corresponding to the stratosphere, the surroundings darken and the round curvature of the Earth becomes visible, giving a feeling as if one has come to space.
Space Perspective stated, "You will be able to experience spaceflight in a space fully equipped with meals and cocktails," and added, "Since it uses a balloon, it is also a carbon-neutral way of travel."
