According to the People Power Party, the meeting was arranged after the association reached out first. With the collective resignation letters of medical school professors due the next day, it is expected to be an opportunity to discuss countermeasures for ongoing issues such as prolonged medical service gaps.

Park Jeong-ha, the public relations director, explained, "They proposed the meeting first, and Chairman Han readily accepted. They said they would visit the party headquarters, but Chairman Han thought it was appropriate to also see the site, so he is going to the hospital (Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul)." When asked if Chairman Han is playing a mediating role, she replied, "It is difficult to say definitively, but it seems to be with the intention of opening the door to dialogue between the government and the medical community with a sincere attitude."
