The number of deaths from the indiscriminate shooting and arson terror attack at a concert hall in Moscow, Russia, has risen to around 140. The incident occurred on Friday night when a large crowd was gathered, and with many seriously injured among the wounded, there is a high possibility of additional fatalities.


Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of Moscow Oblast, stated on the 23rd (local time) that 719 firefighters and rescue personnel have been deployed to the scene to dismantle structures and search for survivors, adding that "the operation will continue for at least several days."

Governor Vorobyov reported that the damage was concentrated in the concert hall of the 'Crocus City Hall' in Krasnogorsk, northwest Moscow, the site of the terror attack, which was completely destroyed by fire, and warned that "the remaining parts of the ceiling are at risk of collapse."


Victims suffered gunshot wounds, burns, or external injuries caused by the collapse of structures during the terror attack.


At the Gavrilov Blood Center in Moscow, citizens are lining up to donate blood to patients in need of blood supply.


Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Russian state broadcaster RT, reported on Telegram that 143 people have been confirmed dead.


Governor Vorobyov announced that 3 million rubles (approximately 43.83 million KRW) will be paid as condolence money to the families of the deceased. Hospitalized patients will receive 1 million rubles (14.61 million KRW), and outpatients with minor injuries will be supported with 500,000 rubles (7.305 million KRW) each.
