The People Power Party criticized on the 23rd, saying, "Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, is fueling public anxiety with his distorted view of national security."

He pointed out, "Lee has not even raised a proper voice of criticism against North Korea, which repeatedly commits armed provocations and constantly threatens us," and added, "He only pours out criticism toward the government, which is fulfilling its primary duty to protect the lives and safety of the people."
He further said, "Rather, it is Lee who is providing opportunities for anti-state pro-North Korean forces to enter the National Assembly and even granting them safe ranks on proportional representation lists, paving a flower path," and accused him of "threatening our national security."
Park stated, "Candidates who have repeatedly made outrageous remarks about the Cheonan ship conspiracy theory are openly seeking the people's choice under the Democratic Party's banner," and said, "We cannot entrust the country to those with dangerous national views and distorted security perspectives."
He added, "There is no distinction between ruling and opposition parties when it comes to national security," and emphasized, "It should not become a subject of political strategy or partisan conflict."
