Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Urban Regeneration Center will hold a talk concert on the 23rd at the Gwangmyeong Gyeonggi The Dream Regeneration Service Lab to discuss sustainable urban regeneration plans.
The Gyeonggi Urban Regeneration Center operates under the commission of Gyeonggi Province and is managed by the Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH). It plays a role in promoting urban regeneration projects in old downtown areas by region.
The Gyeonggi Urban Regeneration Center conducts monthly talk concerts to hear the opinions of local residents related to urban regeneration projects, and this month’s theme is "Spaces Where Many People Gather."
The event venue, Gyeonggi The Dream Regeneration Service Lab, is a hub space created through an urban regeneration project by the Gyeonggi Urban Regeneration Center to restore communities and resolve residents’ inconveniences in declining old downtown areas. It is located at the Gwangmyeongsi Eoulligi Culture Development Center (126-31, Gwangmyeong-dong, Gwangmyeong-si).
Gyeonggi Province plans to discover various themes and hold talk concerts every two months until November, and at the end of the year, it will consult with local governments based on the results of the talk concerts to reflect residents’ opinions.
Kim Tae-su, Director of the Urban Regeneration Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We expect the talk concerts to present new perspectives and plans to solve local problems," adding, "We will continue to operate various programs to contribute to sustainable urban regeneration and community development."
