In April, the government plans to open a proposal contest for the Rural Agreement targeting 112 local governments nationwide. The Jeonbuk Headquarters will participate in the planning of cities and counties planning to apply for the contest this year. Until last year, 10 out of 13 target cities and counties in the Jeonbuk area, excluding Jeonju City, and 75 locations nationwide were selected for the Rural Agreement.

The Jeonbuk Headquarters stated, "We participate in the planning of all 10 selected cities and counties," adding, "Based on our experience supporting the work, we will strive to achieve good results for the cities and counties preparing for this year's contest."

They support Sunchang County, which is preparing to apply for the rural spatial maintenance project to resolve indiscriminate development in rural spaces and improve the rural residential environment. Project plans are being made targeting Ingye-myeon and Pungsan-myeon, where complaints have continued due to deterioration of the residential environment and quality of life caused by landscape degradation and odors.

A representative of the Jeonbuk Headquarters said, "In March, the 'Act on Rural Spatial Restructuring and Regeneration Support' will be fully enforced, and the 13 target cities and counties in Jeonbuk will establish basic rural spatial plans," adding, "We will actively support the establishment of spatial plans tailored to regional characteristics in line with the policy direction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs."
