Lee Jae-myung Focuses Support on Nam Young-hee as 'Yoon Sang-hyun Challenger' in Dong-gu Michuhol-gu E, Incheon

Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Michuhol-gu, Incheon, classified as a battleground, to focus support on candidate Nam Young-hee. Nam is having a 'return match' against Yoon Sang-hyun of the People Power Party, who is a four-term lawmaker, following the 21st general election.

On the afternoon of the 20th, Lee visited Tojigeumgo Market located in Yonghyeon-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, and gave support speeches alongside candidate Nam Young-hee (Incheon Dong-gu Michuhol-gu Eul) and lawmaker Park Chan-dae (Incheon Yeonsu-gu Gap). Standing on the steps at the market entrance, he said, "On April 10, the people must show that they are the owners of this country," and added, "Please use candidate Nam, and although from a different neighborhood, candidate Park as tools for victory." He then said, "Lee Jae-myung is not running in Michuhol," and asked, "Do you know who is running?" to encourage support for candidate Nam.

After Lee’s remarks, candidate Nam said, "One person has worked in this area for 16 years," and questioned, "Have you been happy for the past 16 years, especially the last four?" She continued, "I, Nam Young-hee, will not just talk but act and work properly," emphasizing, "I want to work. Please make sure to vote." Furthermore, she added, "Nam Young-hee will judge the regime, lead the Democratic Party’s victory, and bring about change."

On the way out after touring the market, Lee briefly stopped and continued to express support for candidate Nam. Standing on a wooden board in front of a closed shop, he asked, "Are you ready to decisively judge on April 10?" and requested, "Please give our candidate Nam a chance to work this time." He then held Nam’s hand and shouted cheers together.

Following his visit to Tojigeumgo Market in Michuhol-gu that day, he planned to visit Singi Market, then Jeongseojin Central Market and Bugae General Market in Seo-gu, and the commercial area of Samsan-dong.
