The Korea Senior Citizens Association Changwon Branch Holds 2024 Annual General Meeting

The Korea Senior Citizens Association Changwon Branch in Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, held its 2024 regular general meeting on the 15th at the Changwon Neulpureun Jeondang auditorium.


The regular general meeting was divided into two parts: Part 1 included the national ceremony, reading of the senior citizens' pledge, awards for meritorious persons, greetings from the branch president, encouragement speeches, and congratulatory speeches; Part 2 included the quorum report, report on the minutes of the previous general meeting, and discussion of agenda items. Through the agenda discussion, Kim Chaddu and Park Jeonghwan were elected as auditors for 2024.

The regular general meeting was attended by Branch President Kim Jonghyo, about 290 members of the senior citizens association, National Assembly member Kang Gi-yoon, Provincial Assembly member Park Jin-hyun, and city council members Gu Jeomdeuk, Kim Gyeonghui, Park Haejeong, and Seong Bobin.


Mayor Hong Nampyo, who could not attend due to schedule conflicts, sent a congratulatory message stating, “I express my respect and gratitude to the elders who have dedicated themselves to the current prosperous Republic of Korea and the beautiful and attractive Changwon Special City.”


He added, “We will strive even harder to provide various welfare services so that the elders can live stable retirement lives, be respected as elders in the local community, and live comfortably and vibrantly.”

President Kim said, “I promise to do my best to support local senior centers as I did at the beginning and to lead our senior citizens association exemplary,” adding, “I will work actively on the ground to improve senior welfare and enhance their rights.”


“I will become a branch president who works several times harder and takes the lead for our members,” he said, “and I hope that all executives and members will unite their efforts for the Changwon Branch this year and have a healthy year.”
