Woori Financial Group announced on the 15th that it held a subsidiary CEO candidate recommendation committee meeting and completed the recommendation of CEO candidates for five subsidiaries: Woori Financial Savings Bank, Woori Financial F&I, Woori PE Asset Management, Woori Credit Information, and Woori FIS.
The recommendation committee nominated Lee Seok-tae, former head of Woori Bank's Domestic Sales Division, as the final candidate for CEO of Woori Financial Savings Bank; Kang Shin-guk, former head of Woori Bank's Corporate Investment Finance Division, as the final candidate for CEO of Woori PE Asset Management; and Kim Baek-su, former head of Woori Bank's Information Security Group, as the final candidate for CEO of Woori FIS. Additionally, CEO Choi Dong-su of Woori Financial F&I and CEO Lee Jung-ho of Woori Credit Information were decided to be reappointed.
Lee Seok-tae, recommended as the CEO candidate for Woori Financial Savings Bank, joined Woori Bank in 1991 and has held positions including Managing Director of Woori Financial Group's Strategic Planning Team, Executive Director of New Business, Vice President of Business Growth Division, Deputy Head of Woori Bank's Sales Group, and Head of Domestic Sales Division as well as Personal Group Leader.
Kang Shin-guk, recommended as the CEO candidate for Woori PE Asset Management, joined Woori Bank in 1986 and has served as Managing Director of the IB Group, Deputy Head of the Funds Market Group, and Head of Corporate Investment Finance Division as well as Corporate Group Leader.
In the case of Woori FIS, Kim Baek-su was recommended as the CEO candidate following the judgment that a comprehensive organizational restructuring was necessary due to the group's IT governance reorganization earlier this year. Kim Baek-su joined Woori Bank in 1992 and has held positions such as Head of ICT Planning Department, Head of IT Strategy Department, and Deputy Head of Information Security Group. He was recognized by the recommendation committee for his extensive experience and expertise in IT and information security, including next-generation computer system construction.
The five subsidiary CEO candidates recommended by Woori Financial Group's recommendation committee are scheduled to be officially appointed and begin their duties after being finally selected at each subsidiary’s shareholders' meeting planned for the end of March.
