On the 5th, a 23-second video capturing this scene was posted on Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), a Chinese social networking service (SNS). In the video, middle-aged men wearing group tour badges visiting Repulse Bay Beach in Hong Kong spot a white woman sunbathing and approach her saying they want to take a photo together. One man sits very close to the woman, places his hand on her shoulder, and asks his companions to take a photo with a cellphone.

Despite the woman clearly expressing her refusal, the man stubbornly grabbed her shoulder, took a photo, and left. Then, as this middle-aged man disappeared from the screen, another middle-aged man squeezed into the adjacent seat and, like the previous man, placed his hand on the woman's shoulder and tried to take a photo.

Despite the woman’s immediate refusal, the man stubbornly holds her shoulder and takes the photo before leaving. As this man disappears from the frame, another middle-aged man squeezes into the seat next to her, places his hand on her shoulder like the previous man, and tries to take a photo. The woman shows stronger refusal, but the man continues to grope her back, effectively molesting her, and the video ends. The middle-aged men appearing in the video are known to be Chinese group tourists from Henan Province, China, and local Hong Kong media and Chinese SNS platforms such as Weibo have expressed outrage over their rude behavior, calling it “clear sexual harassment” and saying “the police should be notified.”
