The Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced on the 10th that they have arrested and are investigating three men in their 20s who forcibly put an acquaintance into a car and effectively kidnapped him.
According to the police, the suspects are accused of placing a man in his early 20s, Mr. A, whom they knew, into a car around 11:25 PM the previous night in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, and then moving toward the Gangbuk-gu area (detention under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Crimes related to Violence).
After receiving a report from Mr. A's acquaintance, the police found the vehicle the suspects were in at Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, and arrested the three men around 2 AM that day. It was reported that Mr. A was not injured, and the police secured his safety.
The police are investigating the specific facts, including the relationship between the parties involved and the motive behind their actions.
