LG Electronics' all-in-one washer-dryer 'WashCombo' received the 'Smart Appliance Award for Healthy Homes' from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).
According to industry sources on the 10th, AAFA recently selected WashCombo as a product that helps with asthma and allergies at 'KBIS 2024,' the largest kitchen and bath exhibition in North America. AAFA praised, "LG has shown a clear commitment to improving indoor air quality with a washer that is friendly to asthma and allergies." WashCombo was highly evaluated for its excellence in removing dust, mites, and other particles from clothing.
WashCombo is an integrated washer-dryer launched in the North American market earlier this year. It received positive responses, recording sales 70% higher than existing premium drum washers in its first week of release, and gained recognition for its functionality by winning the award. WashCombo also earned the honor of being selected in the 'Top 5 Best Products of KBIS of the Year Award' by DesignHound, a U.S. design expert community.
Adam Wabry, head of the home appliance business team at LG Electronics USA, said, "This award demonstrates LG's efforts to provide differentiated innovative solutions across various product lines," adding, "We will continue to strive to develop technology for everyone's healthy life."
Following the launch of the LG Signature washer-dryer in Korea on the 22nd of last month, LG Electronics plans to start pre-orders for the general model 'LG Tromm Objet Collection WashCombo' as early as this week. In addition to WashCombo, LG Electronics received various awards in multiple categories at KBIS 2024 with its innovative products. LG Electronics' heat pump WashTower won the '2024 Spark Award,' given to the most innovative product. The All New Styler with a built-in handy steamer and the premium built-in Signature Kitchen Suite's combi wall oven were also selected in the KBIS Top 5 by DesignHound.
KBIS, held for the 60th time this year, is the largest kitchen and bath exhibition in North America, with over 630 brands participating to showcase new products and solutions reflecting the latest trends. LG Electronics set up a 1,022㎡ exhibition hall, presenting premium built-in appliances, high-efficiency energy technologies, and empathy AI-based smart home solutions. They also prepared customized exhibition zones considering furniture composition, price range, and space utilization, showcasing numerous packages, new products, and differentiated innovative products suitable for each zone.
