This project is part of the ‘Jwagwangcheon Light Street Creation Project,’ a major pledge of the 8th local government administration. It aims to create a representative night view attraction in Gijang-gun by installing various landscape lights centered on the bridges within Jwagwangcheon, a symbol of Jeonggwan-eup.

The project section is the first phase of the ‘Bridge Landscape Lighting Installation Project.’ From November last year to the end of February this year, the county invested 490 million KRW to install landscape lighting on the ‘Junganggyo’ and ‘Dalsan Pedestrian Bridge’ within Jwagwangcheon.

On ‘Junganggyo,’ LED media bars were installed to provide a spectacular visual experience by producing shows according to a designated schedule through a themed video system. On ‘Dalsan Pedestrian Bridge,’ LED line bars and point lights were installed to allow viewers to appreciate the beauty of the bridge through lighting effects.

Going forward, the county plans to invest an additional 1.43 billion KRW to carry out the second phase of the ‘Bridge Landscape Lighting Installation Project,’ targeting 12 bridges including Deoksan Pedestrian Bridge, with completion scheduled for September this year.

County Governor Jeong Jong-bok, while inspecting the project site, stated, “Through this project, Jwagwangcheon will establish itself as a cultural space with unique attractions, improving the quality of life for residents and contributing to the revitalization of local tourism as a representative night view spot of Gijang-gun.” He added, “Please actively address any shortcomings in the project’s progress so far and focus on managing the project schedule to successfully complete it ahead of time.”
