Phil Energy to Participate in InterBattery 2024... "Strengthening Equipment Lineup with Laser Notching Technology Applied"

Phil Energy announced on the 7th that it will participate in 'InterBattery 2024,' the largest secondary battery industry exhibition in Korea, held at COEX, Seoul, for three days starting from the 6th of this month.

At this exhibition, Phil Energy unveiled a lineup of equipment applying laser notching technology. The exhibition booth showcased laser notching equipment, cylindrical battery winders, and stack-integrated equipment combining laser notching.

Recently, the importance of laser notching technology has been increasingly highlighted in the secondary battery industry. This is because more precise processing of various shapes is required as a technology to improve energy density.

Accordingly, Phil Energy plans to further solidify its position as a battery equipment company based on its unique laser precision processing technology. Since 2016, Phil Energy has proven its technological capabilities by supplying more than 130 units of anode and cathode laser notching equipment to mass production lines.

According to a Phil Energy official, “We are currently securing mold-equivalent quality and verifying mass production for anode and cathode composite parts (maintenance parts) cutting, which is gaining attention in the industry. Based on accumulated mass production technology know-how, our goal is to raise entry barriers for competitors and become a company leading global trends,” he emphasized.

In addition, Phil Energy introduced new equipment applying laser notching instead of molds to the stack-integrated equipment it currently supplies as its main product. This equipment drastically reduces operating costs to about 85% compared to molds.
