Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the 'National Critical Facilities Integrated Defense Training' held in Yeouido on the afternoon of the 6th and tried using the firearms for the training.
This training was conducted jointly by the military, government, civilians, police, and fire departments to respond to terrorist situations occurring at national critical facilities such as broadcasting stations. About 360 people attended, including Mayor Choi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kim Myung-soo, Commander of the Capital Defense Command Lee Jin-woo, and Commander of the 52nd Division Lee Woo-hyun.
The training was carried out by dividing roles among agencies to establish a joint response system. The district formed an Integrated Defense Support Headquarters responsible for disseminating information and controlling residents' situations to protect their safety.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "Vivid training that simulates real situations is most important for the safety of the residents," and added, "We will continuously cooperate with related organizations to prepare for unexpected terrorist situations and build a flawless safety system."
