Chosun University announced on the 6th that it has been selected for the "2024 Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students" project, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students project supports tailored employment services at each stage from admission to graduation to facilitate smooth entry of youth into the labor market. In 2023, Chosun University was selected as one of the 12 pilot universities among over 100 universities participating in the nationwide University Job Plus Center project, received an "Excellent" rating in the annual evaluation, and was selected for this project.
With this project selection, Chosun University will receive a total of 920 million KRW in government funding, an increase of 200 million KRW compared to last year, to support the services. Additionally, the university will carry out the "Build-Up Project" for 1st and 2nd-year students (lowerclassmen), which supports job care AI career exploration and the creation of career portfolios necessary for career and job exploration, and the "Jump-Up Project" for 3rd and 4th-year students (upperclassmen), which supports job care AI employment competency diagnosis, employment skills, curricular and extracurricular programs needed to strengthen employment capabilities, and the establishment of Individualized Employment Activity Plans (IAP).
Chunseong Kim, President of Chosun University, stated, "Having received an 'Excellent' evaluation in last year's pilot project for Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students, we will further strengthen early career setting for enrolled students and support employment activities for upperclassmen more thoroughly and effectively in the 2024 main project."
