NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 5th that a financial accident involving embezzlement in the amount of 10,947,337,000 KRW occurred. The incident took place from March 25, 2019, to November 10 of last year. It was discovered through the bank's internal audit.
Nonghyup Bank has filed a criminal complaint against the employee involved and plans to take disciplinary action after a personnel committee review. A Nonghyup Bank official stated, "The incident occurred during the loan process, and the expected loss amount will be known after the investigation results are out."
