The three major indices of the U.S. New York stock market all fell on the 5th (local time) due to weakness in technology stocks.
On that day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 1.04% compared to the previous trading day. The S&P 500, focused on large-cap stocks, and the technology-heavy Nasdaq index closed down 1.02% and 1.65%, respectively, compared to the previous day.
