Samsung C&T Wins Grand Prize for Landscape Products at 'Asia Design Prize 2024'

Samsung C&T Corporation's Construction Division announced on the 4th that both landscaping products submitted to Asia's largest international design award were selected as winners.

At the 'Asia Design Prize 2024,' Samsung C&T won the Grand Prize and Gold Winner in the space and architecture category with two entries, Garden Bailey and Green Cascade.

Both entries are landscaping facilities installed within the Raemian One Bailey complex, where Raemian's representative landscaping brand, 'Nature Gallery,' was applied for the first time.

The Grand Prize-winning 'Garden Bailey' creatively realized the meeting of tradition and modernity by integrating a giant media cube into the rock garden at the central space of Raemian One Bailey. It harmonizes contrasting design elements such as nature and cutting-edge technology, softness and strength.

The Gold Winner 'Green Cascade' is a space that overcomes the concrete retaining wall within the complex through landscaping, expressed as landscaping terraces falling five times at a height of 2.5 meters. Composed of greenery, water features, and rest facilities, this space has been reborn as a resident relaxation area where one can enjoy a comfortable rest in a misty deep forest.

The Asia Design Prize, established in 2016, is an international design competition where a jury of 35 world-renowned designers, including Professor Shingo Ando of Kyoto University of the Arts, selects winners in three categories: industrial design, space and architecture, and communication. This year, 248 entries were selected from 1,061 submissions across 25 countries.

Through this award, Samsung C&T achieved the industry's only four consecutive years of winning at the Asia Design Prize competition. Following the 'Pilotis Garden' at Raemian Leaders One in 2021, it received the Grand Prize again this year, awarded to the top 1%, recognizing its differentiated landscaping technology.

Samsung C&T stated, "We plan to continuously introduce Raemian's unique landscaping spaces with more diverse concepts, such as developing 'Nature Retreat,' which applies the Nature Gallery design philosophy to gardens."
