NH Investment & Securities forecasted on the 29th that Nota, an unlisted company, will open a world where AI services become universal.

Se-beom Oh, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, stated in a report on the same day, “As AI models become more advanced, they require computations through an increasing number of parameters, so the demand for computing power inevitably continues to grow. In particular, on-device AI models must operate solely based on the device's specifications rather than large-scale data centers, making it difficult to function if the hardware performance is insufficient.”

Researcher Oh also predicted, “In this situation, Nota will open a world where anyone can easily use AI services by supporting the lightweighting and optimization of AI models through NetsPresso, which enables AI models to operate optimally within various devices with limited hardware specifications such as smartphones, CCTV, and personal PCs, rather than massive data center units.”

Nota’s NetsPresso reduces the size of AI models by removing or down-weighting relatively less important parameters while maintaining the unique characteristics of the AI model, enabling more efficient model computation.

Through the lightweighting and optimization process of AI models, NetsPresso maintains performance while enabling ▲improved computation speed ▲reduced power consumption and overall operating costs, and it particularly holds strengths in generative AI fields such as LLM models and Stable Diffusion (image generation).

He added, “The optimization and lightweighting technologies for AI models are increasingly necessary to address the rapid rise in computation levels in the highly marketable generative AI market. Nota is continuing its growth in the global market by leveraging its competitiveness in the generative AI market through proactive technology acquisition.”

Meanwhile, Nota has been selected as a promising company in the AI optimization sector by CB Insights and is leading the popularization of artificial intelligence through AI model lightweighting technology in the era of on-device AI.
