Kyung Kye-hyun, President of Samsung Electronics Device Solutions (DS) Division, emphasized on the 29th that "collaboration and partnerships in the semiconductor industry are key drivers of technological innovation, discovering new talent, and growth."
On the same day, President Kyung wrote on his social media (SNS) account, "Only by cooperating together as one industry can we all continue to grow our businesses to respond to new challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), automotive, and memory."
President Kyung cited Samsung Electronics' partnerships with Red Hat, the global No.1 enterprise Linux company, and Arm, a semiconductor intellectual property (IP) company, as examples.
Earlier, Samsung Electronics announced at the end of last year that it had successfully optimized and verified the operation of CXL memory on Red Hat's latest server operating system (OS), 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux,' marking an industry first. Recently, it also announced strengthening cooperation by optimizing Arm's next-generation system-on-chip (SoC) IP for the cutting-edge Gate All Around (GAA) based process.
President Kyung added, "As a CEO, these partnerships show why I am dedicated to building new industrial alliances."
