On the 29th, the Financial Supervisory Service announced the publication of a revised edition of Practical Finance for University Students, which is used as the basic textbook for the 'University Practical Finance Course.'

This revised edition enhances content on fixed assets and reflects recent institutional changes such as the restructuring of indemnity insurance and the increase in interest rates for housing subscription savings. Additionally, a 'Key Terms Summary' section has been newly added at the beginning of each chapter to help readers easily understand difficult financial terminology.

The practical applicability has also been strengthened. Topics with high real-world relevance, such as finance-related taxes, investment psychology, and financial systems related to startups, have been added. Furthermore, explanations of basic monetary theory are included to satisfy university students' intellectual curiosity about finance.

The Financial Supervisory Service explained, "We expect that university students preparing to enter society will actively use this textbook to protect themselves from the side effects of financial misuse such as debt investment (bit-tu), borrowing to the limit (yeong-kkeul), and FOMO, and to develop essential financial competencies in modern society, enabling them to grow into financial consumers who make rational choices."

Meanwhile, starting from the first semester, the Financial Supervisory Service plans to distribute the textbook free of charge to universities nationwide where the 'Practical Finance Course' is offered as the main textbook, and to post it on the Financial Supervisory Service e-Finance Education Center so that university students, the general public, and anyone else can use it for learning.
