POSCO Future M Recommends New Internal and External Directors Including President Yoo Byung-ok

POSCO Future M held a regular board meeting on the 27th and recommended President Yoo Byung-ok as a new inside director.

At the board meeting, POSCO Future M approved the recommendation of inside and outside director candidates, including President Yoo, as agenda items for the regular shareholders' meeting to be held on the 25th of next month.

The board first recommended President Yoo as a new inside director, and re-nominated Yoon Deok-il, Head of the Planning Support Division, and Kim Jin-chul, Head of the Safety and Environment Center and Chief Safety and Environmental Officer (CSEO), as inside directors.

President Yoo joined POSCO in 1989 and has held positions such as Head of the Management Strategy Office, Head of Raw Materials, and Head of the Industrial Gas and Hydrogen Business Division. He also served as Head of Eco-friendly Future Materials at POSCO Holdings.

Additionally, the board recommended former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Lee Bok-sil and Professor Yoon Tae-hwa of Gachon University’s Department of Business Administration as new outside directors. Outside director Kwon Oh-cheol, whose term is expiring, was re-nominated. Candidate Lee Bok-sil has served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, President of the Korea branch of the World Women Directors Association, and Deputy Director of the National Management Research Institute.

Candidate Yoon Tae-hwa is a professor in the Department of Business Administration at Gachon University (Dean of the Graduate School of Business), with experience working at an accounting firm and having served as President of the Korean Tax Association. He is a financial and accounting expert. POSCO Future M explained that as a certified public accountant, his professional knowledge and experience in audit work make him suitable for performing the duties of the audit committee.

Furthermore, at the meeting, the board recommended Kim Jun-hyung, former President of POSCO Future M and Head of Eco-friendly Future Materials at POSCO Holdings, as a non-executive director.
