On the 27th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced a plan for the major redevelopment of the southwestern area of Seoul to enhance the city's competitiveness. Once a hub for consumption and manufacturing industries in the 1960s and 70s, the southwestern region of Seoul, now considered the most underdeveloped area in the city, will begin its transformation into a future-oriented advanced city where work (직), residence (주), and leisure (락) harmoniously coexist.
