The film "Pamy?," starring actors Choi Min-sik and Kim Go-eun, brought warmth to theaters that had been filled with coldness. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated box office data, over the past weekend (23rd to 25th), it attracted 1,963,501 viewers across 2,356 screens (26,980 showings). It showed a seat occupancy rate close to 50% (47.8%) and recorded the highest revenue share (76.5%). Since its release on the 22nd, it has gathered 2,299,653 viewers in four days. Among this year's releases, it ranks second only to "Wonka" (2,970,340 viewers).
It's only a matter of time before it overtakes. During the same period, "Wonka" attracted 279,138 viewers. Now in its fourth week since release, its momentum has somewhat declined. In contrast, "Pamy?" has shown a sharp upward trend from its first week. It drew 330,141 viewers on its opening day and 374,498 the following day. On the 24th and 25th, it recorded seat occupancy rates above 50%, with 770,931 viewers (53.6%) and 818,079 viewers (58.6%), respectively. Distributor Showbox stated, "It surpassed 2 million viewers two days earlier than last year's top-grossing film 'Spring in Seoul' (cumulative 11,854,811 viewers)."
"Geon-guk Jeonjaeng" ranked third during the same period with 112,627 viewers. Its cumulative audience reached 966,285, making it the eighth highest this year. Following were "Demon Slayer: The Miracle of Bonds and Joint Strengthening Training" (56,875 viewers; cumulative 394,239), "Sopung" (19,108 viewers; cumulative 301,940), "Bread Barber Shop: Celeb in Bakery Town" (18,297 viewers; cumulative 18,875), "Sound of Freedom" (15,733 viewers; cumulative 30,668), and "Citizen Deok-hee" (14,009 viewers; cumulative 1,695,100) in that order.
