According to political circles on the 25th, former Chairman In and former Minister Won will conduct street greetings near Gyeyang Post Office in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, at noon on the 26th. Lee Cheon-soo, a former national soccer team player who serves as the chairman of Won’s support committee, is also expected to accompany them. After having lunch together, they plan to continue street greetings near the restaurant.

This is the first time former Chairman In has directly supported a specific candidate in this general election. Former Minister Won was the first to express willingness to run in a difficult district as a sacrifice and dedication to mainstream politicians in the party, a demand made by former Chairman In during his tenure as Innovation Committee chairman.

Subsequently, former Minister Won declared his candidacy for Gyeyang-eul, the constituency of Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, and recently received the sole nomination from the nomination management committee.

Gyeyang-eul is one of the toughest districts for the People Power Party. Except for the 2010 by-election, the Democratic Party and its affiliated parties have won every election from the 17th general election in 2004 to the 21st general election in 2020.
