Global safety science company UL Solutions awarded LG Display's OLED TV panels and gaming OLED panels the 'Low Plastic' verification mark. This mark is given only to products with plastic content of less than 5% of the total weight. LG Display is the first to have a display panel pass this verification.

For a 65-inch panel, LG Display's OLED TV panel contains about 4% plastic by total weight, which is over 90% less plastic compared to an LCD TV panel of the same size.

LG Display's transparent OLED, the only one mass-produced worldwide, received the 'Eco Mark' certification from the global inspection and certification organization SGS. This certification is awarded to products that comply with global environmental regulations and meet SGS's eco-friendly evaluation standards throughout the product's entire lifecycle, from production to use and disposal. This is the first certification case for transparent OLED.

Jin Min-gyu, head of LG Display's Large Promotion Division, said, "We will take the lead in responding proactively to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) trends by developing eco-friendly OLEDs, and actively promote the excellence of LG Display OLEDs, which combine overwhelming picture quality with eco-friendliness."
