Public Procurement Service to Nationalize '302 Ownerless Land Parcels'

The Public Procurement Service announced on the 23rd that it will promote the nationalization of 302 parcels of ownerless real estate (unowned real estate) nationwide, including in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, totaling 363,126㎡.

For nationalization, the Public Procurement Service will proceed with the announcement procedure for unowned real estate in the official gazette and on the Public Procurement Service website from July 26 to August 26.

The announcement targets include land newly registered due to omission in the cadastral register, land whose owner is indicated as 'State' in the cadastral register but remains unregistered, and so on.

If no rightful claimant reports their rights during the six-month announcement period, the ownership of the land will be acquired by the state through procedures such as cadastral register organization and ownership preservation registration.

The Public Procurement Service began the nationalization of ownerless real estate in 2012 and has nationalized a total of 24,668 parcels (93.7㎢) as of last month. The nationalized land is valued at approximately 2.4 trillion won based on the official land price.
