Busan City is recruiting professional personnel for performance venues to prepare for the full-scale opening of the 'Busan Opera House' and 'Busan Concert Hall.'
The recruitment fields are ▲ one team leader-level position in performance planning (contract-based, equivalent to Grade 5) ▲ one position in performance planning (contract-based, equivalent to Grade 7) ▲ one position in stage technology lighting (part-time contract-based, Grade Na).
This recruitment is an open call for experienced performance experts who will be responsible for overall opening preparations including performance planning and stage technology at the 'Busan Opera House' and 'Busan Concert Hall.'
In particular, the team leader-level position in performance planning (contract-based, equivalent to Grade 5) will be responsible for expanding the classical music base through classical (opera) festivals, inviting world-class top performers, confirming the opening and regular season performances of the Busan Concert Hall, training professional personnel, and building domestic and international networks with artists, theaters, and performance planning companies.
For the performance planning field, preference will be given to those who majored in performing arts, planning, or music-related departments, have practical experience in related fields, and are proficient in English. For the stage technology lighting field, preference will be given to those with experience as a stage lighting director at public performance venues or in opera performance stage lighting design.

After document screening and interviews, the final selection will be made in April. The appointment period is one year from the date of appointment and can be extended up to a total of five years depending on work performance.
Shim Jae-min, Director of the Culture and Sports Bureau of Busan City, said, “We hope that many people with professional capabilities and passion will show interest and apply for the successful opening and stabilization of the Busan Opera House and Busan Concert Hall.” He added, “Our city will strive to create Busan as a classical culture city where citizens enjoy classical music in their daily lives, along with establishing world-class cultural infrastructure.”
The Busan Opera House is under construction with a target completion in 2026 and opening in 2027, and the Busan Concert Hall, being built in Busan Citizens Park, is currently 76% complete and scheduled for completion in August this year and opening in 2025.
