4by4, Showcases Unique Image Quality Enhancement AI at MWC... 'Advanced XR Image Quality'

Content artificial intelligence (AI) solution company ForByFor announced on the 21st that it will participate in the IT electronics and telecommunications technology exhibition 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024,' held for four days from the 26th to the 29th in Barcelona, Spain.

ForByFor will showcase its self-developed deep learning AI-based image quality enhancement solution, 'PIXELL.' PIXELL features image quality enhancement specialized for special displays such as extended reality (XR) and virtual reality (VR), as well as bitrate reduction technology that can achieve the best transmission efficiency in mobile environments. It has already attracted high interest among telecommunications and content industry stakeholders.

MWC is an exhibition specialized in mobile devices and next-generation communication technologies (5G, 6G), but recently, as the mobile and telecommunications industries' interests have focused on 'immersive video technology' and 'on-device AI,' many technology companies specializing in mixed reality displays usable via mobile and lightweight AI are participating in the exhibition.

ForByFor, which won two Innovation Awards at CES 2024 held last month in Las Vegas, USA, establishing a foothold for global market entry, plans to raise awareness of the company and its technology in the European market through participation in this MWC. It will accelerate the expansion of its global solution business by utilizing video image quality enhancement and transmission efficiency AI technologies that can be immediately applied to the mobile and telecommunications industries.

ForByFor CEO Yoon Junho said, "We are fully prepared not only to showcase ForByFor's technological capabilities at the exhibition but also to participate in 4YFN (4 years from now), the world's largest startup event at MWC, to meet various market stakeholders and create meaningful global achievements."

He added, "There is high interest in the European market in technologies that can reliably provide high-quality video services regardless of telecommunications infrastructure environments."

MWC is one of the world's top three electronics and IT exhibitions. It is a global exhibition attended by numerous global mobile communication and mobile companies. Last year's event saw participation from 2,400 companies from 202 countries and attracted over 88,500 visitors, making it a massive event.

Earlier, ForByFor completed development and verification of an integrated solution for video image quality improvement AI services and AI semiconductors in collaboration with PuriosaAI, a fabless startup specializing in AI-dedicated semiconductor design. They have decided to aggressively target the global market together. The product jointly developed by the two companies was created by embedding ForByFor's image quality improvement AI solution 'PIXELL' after model quantization (optimization + lightweighting) into PuriosaAI's first-generation AI semiconductor 'Warboy.'
