Hana Financial Group announced on the 19th that it will conduct the 2024 course of its social value creation program, "Hana Power on Second Life," to address employment issues among middle-aged individuals. Through this program, it will recruit experienced talents in their 40s and 50s nationwide who are seeking reemployment.
This program is a reemployment support project that Hana Financial Group has been running since August 2022 for middle-aged and older adults. It supports the entire process, from strengthening employment capabilities for the new middle-aged generation through online and offline job training and one-on-one intensive consulting, to operating a job discovery team and connecting tailored jobs for the new middle-aged generation.
Now in its third iteration, the project began in 2022 with the goal of reemployment in small and medium-sized enterprises for middle-aged and older adults. Last year, it supported pioneering the job market and employment connections in the digital field for this demographic. Over the past two years, 2,279 people have experienced the program, and among the 965 who received employment support, 338 succeeded in finding jobs, according to Hana Financial Group.
This year’s course will first expand the operational area of the project, which had been focused on jobs in the metropolitan area, to a nationwide scale. In cooperation with local governments and related organizations, it will discover excellent local jobs and support employment for middle-aged and older residents in those regions. Offline job fairs will be held in about 10 regions nationwide.
The opportunity for offline intensive training will also be expanded nationwide. From April to October, in seven regions including Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province in the metropolitan area, as well as Daejeon, Daegu, Jeonju, Gwangju, and Busan, employment capability enhancement training and job-tailored practical skills training such as practical OA exercises, resume and self-introduction writing, and interview practice will be conducted 4 to 7 times monthly according to each region’s schedule.
In addition to the small and medium-sized enterprise jobs and digital jobs supported in the existing courses, various jobs tailored to the latest trends and the needs of people in their 40s and 50s will be discovered and developed, including startup and venture jobs, social economy jobs, tourism industry jobs, and instructor jobs where the new middle-aged generation can demonstrate their abilities.
The program will begin this year with the start of online education on the 19th. Talents in their 40s and 50s can apply and attend courses anytime throughout the year.
Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, stated, "With accelerating aging and increasing life expectancy, new job education to design the future for the new middle-aged generation has become important. Going forward, Hana Financial Group will continue to spare no effort in supporting the successful career planning and reemployment of the new middle-aged generation, as well as faithfully fulfill the responsibilities of a financial company to solve employment issues for all generations."
