This spring, Everland's panda 'Pubao,' preparing for a new beginning, will start full-scale relocation preparations from the 4th of next month.
Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, announced on the 19th that Pubao, who will be moving to China in early April, will meet visitors at the Panda World enclosure until the 3rd of next month.
In accordance with international wildlife regulations, Pubao will undergo health and quarantine management privately inside Panda World before the move. Under the special care of the keepers, he will sequentially go through preparation processes such as adapting to the transport cage.
Panda grandfathers, including keepers Kang Cheol-won and Song Young-gwan, are remaking bamboo toys that Pubao liked to help him remember the joyful moments at Panda World for a long time. They are also creating various enrichment spots such as hammocks and benches. The rapeseed flower bed, which is made for Pubao every spring, has been richly decorated.
Currently, Pubao meets visitors only in the afternoon to allow cross-exposure with his twin panda sibling. Everland will open Panda World all day from the 1st to the 3rd of next month so fans can build more memories with Pubao. On the last day to see Pubao in Korea, a live broadcast is under consideration.
Everland will also run various programs to remember and support 'the eternal baby panda' Pubao for fans who feel sad about the upcoming farewell. An Everland official explained, "Through a special program themed 'Meeting you was a miracle, thank you Pubao,' we plan to give precious memories to Pubao, the keepers, and visitors."

From the 25th, fans can leave messages and support comments for Pubao through a cheering comment event on Everland's official YouTube and Instagram. At the recently opened panda family-themed gallery 'Bao House,' fans can also send support messages to Pubao.
The precious support messages from fans will be beautifully designed in the shape of rapeseed flowers, Pubao's favorite, and decorated as a flower path on the streets of Everland on the day of the move in early April.
Meanwhile, from the 4th of next month, Everland will hold special screenings of Pubao videos. These will be shown twice daily at the Everland indoor theater. The new essay 'I am the Happy Grandpa Pubao,' which contains the feelings keeper Kang Cheol-won conveys to Pubao as well as stories of the panda family and keepers, will start pre-orders on the 21st and be published on the 27th.
