As of 9:43 AM on the 19th, Sapien Semiconductor was trading at 45,950 KRW, up 9,200 KRW (25.03%) from the reference price of 36,750 KRW.
Sapien Semiconductor, a microLED display driving system semiconductor company, was listed on the KOSDAQ market on this day through a merger with Hana Must 7 SPAC.
Lee Seok-young, a researcher at Daishin Securities, stated, "The technology to implement micro displays can be divided into LCoS, OLEDoS, and LEDoS. LCoS technology has limitations in size and weight, making it less competitive in the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) markets. OLEDoS and LEDoS are likely to be the main focus, and in the mid-to-long term, there will be opportunities in LEDoS. Sapien Semiconductor is focusing on developing DDIC (Display Driver Integrated Circuit) technology necessary for driving LEDoS, so when the LEDoS-based AR device market blooms in the future, rapid growth will be possible," he analyzed.
