Between the night of the 18th and the morning of the 19th, heavy rain of 10-20mm per hour (30-50mm per hour in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island) is expected, especially around Jeju Island, the southern coast, and the Jirisan area. Some places may receive very heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm, so safety precautions are necessary.
The rain will mostly stop between 6 PM and midnight on the 19th. The expected rainfall amounts for the 18th and 19th are: Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi 20-60mm; inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon 20-60mm; Chungcheong region 20-60mm; Gwangju and Jeonnam 30-80mm (with heavier amounts over 100mm in the southern coast of Gyeongnam and near Jirisan); Daegu and Gyeongbuk 10-60mm; Jeju Island mountainous areas 100-150mm (over 200mm in some places); Jeju Island excluding northern mountainous areas 30-100mm (over 120mm in some mid-mountain areas); and northern Jeju Island 20-60mm. Visibility will be reduced and roads will be very slippery where rain falls, so caution is advised for traffic safety. Additionally, care should be taken regarding facility management and safety accidents due to gusts and thunder/lightning.
Winds will be strong, with gusts exceeding 55 km/h in most parts of the country, and there is a possibility of a strong wind advisory being issued.
Temperatures will remain higher than average on the 19th. The expected minimum temperature on the 19th is 6-15°C (average -8 to 2°C), and the maximum temperature is 10-21°C (average 4-10°C). In particular, the morning temperature on the 19th will rise sharply by about 10-15 degrees compared to the 18th, and daytime temperatures will be similar to today.
