Both parties agreed to start supplying rice from the Gumi region to local infant facilities and gradually expand the supply of local agricultural products, aiming to promote healthy growth and development through the formation of proper eating habits among infants and young children.

According to the agreement, excellent agricultural products from the Gumi region will be gradually expanded not only to local daycare centers but also to out-of-area regions such as food material companies in Daegu. The cooperation includes ▲local food distribution to local infant facilities ▲information exchange for safe meals for infants and young children ▲joint planning and promotion of projects deemed necessary to establish proper eating habits and promote health among infants and young children ▲and other necessary matters for mutual development and promotion of local food distribution.

Kim Jang-ho, Mayor and Chairman of the Gumi Food Support Center, said, “Through this agreement, we will support the supply of excellent local agricultural products to local infant facilities so that children can form proper eating habits in a safer environment and grow up healthily. We also expect that the expansion of sales channels for local agricultural products will contribute to the development of the local economy.”

The Gumi Food Integrated Support Center operates the Gumi City Local Food Direct Store Geumosan Branch and is dedicated to branding Gumi agricultural products, pioneering sales channels, and promoting the distribution of local agricultural products, leading the revitalization of the local community by connecting urban and rural areas, producers, and consumers.
