DB Insurance announced on the 14th that it has developed an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assistant' system related to pre-disease underwriting (U/W) and obtained a patent for it.
This system is an AI-driven platform that analyzes existing insurance subscription details and supports the entire process from customized plan design to underwriting.
Since the AI Assistant was first introduced in June last year, it has signed contracts worth 300 million KRW with over 100,000 insurance consumers. Through data learning, it has gradually become more sophisticated and is expected to provide insurance subscription services through more channels in the future.
DB Insurance has continuously strived to improve work productivity and insurance consumer satisfaction. In 2020, it introduced an automatic disease review system that combined big data-based coverage analysis with AI-based pre-underwriting procedures. Last year, it automated the entire insurance contract process.
A DB Insurance official stated, “The AI Assistant is a system that can be used not only to improve simple repetitive tasks but also as a tool to create new value,” adding, “We will continue to develop systems that provide customized plans desired by customers and support marketing methods aligned with market trends.”
